“By 2005 … even the most ‘unaware’ will become aware that something of significance is happening” Back in early 1997, a dear friend and teacher, Don Alejandro, taught us about the Mayan Prophecies. Don Alejandro is a well known and highly respected Mayan Elder from Guatemala. He told us – over 4-years before the tragedy of 9/11 – that 2002 would be the beginning of what was called
“the hard times,” according to the prophecies. He also predicted an acceleration of severe weather and natural disasters. He said,
"By the year 2005, there will be so many changes occurring on the earth that even the most 'unaware' among us will become aware that something of significance is happening to our planet."
It seems clear that things are speeding up – including world events*. And, if the Mayan prophecies are anywhere close to being correct, this is just the beginning. With all that is going on, it is difficult to pull up above the drama to see that the turmoil and increasing polarization may be the signs of new birth. Fundamental change is possible as we move through the chaos of the next 7-8 years (through 2012). Don Alejandro said to us over and over,
“Wake up! It is time to wake up!” Indeed, we can no longer sit comfortably on the fence. It is time to get into action, and follow our visions and inner guidance. Many people may feel lost in the coming years. They’re going to need us to be awake. As the poet William Stafford wrote:
“… it is important that awake people be awake, … the darkness around us is deep.”

“For-the-One” Dance Growing |
“A time will come when somewhere in the world people will be doing this dance, every moment of every day.” -- From a dream by S. Mehrtens Although the first of these dances only took place in April of 2003, it is already taking us into Israel, South Africa, Germany, Ireland, Norway, Brazil, and California, Tennessee, and North Carolina in 2005. And, we have invitations to do the dance in Haiti, Croatia, Iceland, Egypt and more. When you follow your visions, amazing things happen. We’ve certainly experienced that in following the vision to bring this dance to the people. In fact, we’ve been told that the "For the One" Dance is fulfilling two ancient prophecies, one Hebrew, the other African, that say a time will come when people of all races and cultures will come together to sing and dance as one. To watch the prophecies begin to unfold with such beauty and grace is beyond our wildest imaginings. The best thing we two know to do is stay out of our own way, keep listening, and keep showing up and saying “YES." As this dance grows, it is becoming something that neither of us anticipated but for which we are deeply grateful. More and more individuals around the world are having dreams or visions, or receiving simple guidance that they are to be part of the International Crews that are forming in support of this dance. This is a good thing because there have now been five persons from different countries and at different times who have "seen" as many as 5,000 people attending future dances. Already, connecting arbors are being designed that will accommodate 200-300 singing dancers, and thousands more “singers” who will surround the arbors with spontaneous song in support of the dancers. The power to avert disaster: We've been told by Vuzamazulu Credo Mutwa, Keeper of the Zulu teachings and sacred relics in South Africa, that this singing dance has the potential of changing the outcome of even the most powerful of disasters. It is a dance that moves at "lightening speed" and seems to keep up with and/or move beyond the pace of the changes now occurring. It is a healing dance, and a dance that brings back into our collective consciousness the memory that we are not separated at all, but are all part of the same Being – or "being-ness." As our dear friend, Joseph Rael, would say..."all there is … is love. Everything else is pictures in perceptual reality." Help Needed: If any of you are called to be a part of this extraordinary experience in any way, you are most welcome. Because it is growing so fast, we find we are in need of help from people with administrative/coordinating skills, and also those with fundraising skills. The more we go into environments where war and conflict are prevalent or where poverty conditions have been the norm, the more we realize it's time to connect with those persons out there who want to be a part of this in a powerful, practical, and effective way. For most, this will be primarily by helping to fund a dancer or some other aspect of the dance. If you are interested, contact us for more details. Note: There’s more information given below on the dances, locations and dance experiences.

“All things return to the One. What does the One return to?” – Zen koan. In September, we found ourselves in Wales, performing a wedding on 9/11 during the same hour that the planes hit the Trade Center’s Twin Towers in 2001. We didn’t plan it that way. It just happened. But, it was a powerful way to remember the events of 9/11 and, through the love and marriage of two beautiful souls, to plant a seed to symbolically join back together what had been separated. The marriage was magical. It took place on Primrose Farm, a working organic farm near Brecon, where tall hedgerows meet the narrow, single-carriage roads. Wales is especially beautiful in the fall. There are ripe blackberries along the roads for the picking. Beautiful flowers decorate the countryside – blue lobelias, pink and purple petunias, bright lavender fireweed, and multicolored pansies. It is a land rich with the history of thousands of years that seeps into your bones. You can still feel the spirits of Merlin and Arthur here. Indeed, just 5-km from the farm is a huge, monolithic stone called Arthur’s Stone. It sits atop an ancient burial place overlooking a hedged valley below. Not too far away, at Kilpec, is one of the finest examples of an old Norman Village church. Built in 1143, it is decorated with carvings of gargoyles and Celtic designs, and surrounded by towering oaks, and ancient yew trees that may be more than a thousand years old – an age we can hardly conceive of in the US. Primrose Farm is steeped in the history and beauty of this land. It is a place that is making a difference – teaching the surrounding community an alternative to large monoculture farming. Paul and Jan, who we married on this 9/11 weekend, are committed to a holistic vision. People from around the world come to visit or work on the farm, and learn innovative new techniques in organic farming and permaculture. It is in this beautiful place that the wedding took place. For the ceremony, we built a simple arch of freshly cut willow, and decorated it with bright orange nasturtiums as an entryway to the wedding area. The bride and groom, dressed in colorful attire with an East Indian flavor, and with love-filled eyes, did a candle ceremony and exchanged vows inside their Peace-Sound Chamber. Then, a binding ceremony with the sacred male and female belts from the Picuris Tribe was done outside under a huge, 400-year old oak tree – the oak, itself, a symbol of the strength and longevity of this sacred marriage. Although it rained before the ceremony, the weather cleared and the sun came out. And afterward, there was a rainbow – a powerful omen for a happy, healthy and abundant life for the newlyweds.

“The dances open people to new inspiration. They can create themselves anew. When they do, the whole world changes” – John Pehrson Bubbles of Light: We returned from Wales in mid-September just as Hurricane Ivan, the most powerful ever recorded (with 165-mph winds), was about to come ashore. To our delight, we found that the crew in North Carolina had completed the permanent roof on the dance arbor. Not only that, but they had some amazing digital photos showing the work crew in the arbor, with bubbles of light surrounding them, and floating everywhere in the arbor – some small, and some quite large! It was clear that something quite wonderful and definitely out of the ordinary was happening. We’ve now done nine dances in this space. And every month, the dance pole is blessed and the spirits fed in a special full-moon ceremony. We think that the bubbles of light captured in the digital photos were the spirit-beings who are supporting the work, and blessing the workers. It’s the kind of amazing thing that happens as we show up and do the work. We each have the power to change things. And the moment we step out on the spiritual path we are supported in our work by all manners of unseen energies. The truth is, we have infinite potential. The problem is that we don’t really believe it. So, we lock ourselves into a static future by thinking the same thoughts and taking the same actions over and over. But, we have the capacity to change things dramatically by not getting stuck. This entails sound and movement, breaking old patterns, new thinking, and the courage to follow new visions. But how can we accomplish such a thing? This is one of the powerful purposes of the dances that we lead. The dances take people out of their comfort zones, get them unstuck, and open them to new inspiration, ideas and perceptions. Then they can create themselves anew. When they do, the whole world changes. In late September and in the beginning of October, we did two dances in North Carolina, back-to-back on successive weekends. Doing back-to-back dances is to be in ceremony for ten days. It is wonderful in many ways but also very intense. The first was the Sun-Moon Dance, led by John. This is the dance that Beautiful Painted Arrow (Joseph Rael) was given in vision many years ago. It revved the energy up for the second dance, the “For-the-One” Dance led by Jeanne, and in which John was a dancer. We not only lead the dances, but we also dance them when we can. Many powerful signs occurred around the dances. For instance, there was a rainbow around the sun with a cloud-arrow through it before the Sun-Moon Dance. Seven eagles flew over the arbor at one point. And when the branches of cedar and ash that had decorated the top of the dance pole were burned after the dance, the coals formed a star. The entire arbor is built mostly of cedar, the wood that connects us to the star people. Perhaps the Sun-Moon Dance in NC is now a “Star Dance.” The second dance was the “For the One” Dance. Eighteen dancers participated. And we’ve learned through our frequent travels to Israel that the number “18” carries the vibration of “Life” in the Hebrew teachings. There were a number of extraordinary events that occurred, including the constant companionship of eagles and hawks. But perhaps the most powerful and touching moment occurred at the exact moment that the Dance ended, when one of the dancers went into vision and was gently taken to her resting place in the arbor. Without any prompting, the entire group of dancers AND all those helping on the crew, formed a circle around her and began to create, spontaneously, an amazing song…They literally were singing “For the One.” The power and the beauty that were created are beyond any words to describe what actually happened. One thing was clear. They got it! At some level, beyond most of our comprehension, these amazing souls remembered … there is only one of us here and all there is, is love. Another interesting synchronicity is that the week of the Sun-Moon Dance, Hurricane Ivan occurred. Ivan is Russian for "John." Immediately following John's dance, Hurricane "Jeanne" occurred just prior to the "For the One" Dance. Both hurricanes brought an enormous amount of change. Many teachings came from the energy of these storms which continue to unfold. |

The way of inspiration is always open, and open to everyone…”—Hilda Doolittle Another wonderful thing that occurred during the last few months is the possibility of a book in the making on our journey and experiences – written by Monty Joynes, a good friend who is an accomplished author** and Pulitzer Prize nominee. Monty has recently finished the narrative for making the movie book about James Redfield's The Celestine Prophecy -- the movie. He has often urged us to write a book about the transformation that took us out of the corporate world. His feeling is that the story of how we have learned to live spontaneously and follow our visions may be an inspiration to others. It’s a great idea. But we’ve never had time to stop long enough to write down the story. So, Monty has offered to write it for us! Call for stories/visions: We are collecting individual stories and visions from people who have danced or helped with the For-the-One Dances. It is common for people who have danced or worked at these dances to have powerful insights, visions, and guidance. But we always ask for these to be closely held, unspoken, for at least three months – to gestate, put down roots, and grow in power. So, there are many such visions we’ve never heard about. If you have a vision, or powerful insight that came out of a dance, or a story about how life unfolded in a different way following a dance, please share it with us. Your vision or story may just wind up in our book as an inspiration for others! ** Note: Monty’s books are available through Amazon.com. Check out “The Booker Series.” It includes four books: ▪ "Naked Into the Night", ▪ "Save the Good Seed", ▪ "Lost in Las Vegas", and ▪ "Dead Water Rites". “Numbers represent movement. They are connectors between the fundamental vibrational building blocks of our reality – the vowel sounds.”—John Pehrson
One important development over the past six months is John's new system of Mystical Numerology. It is something he has been working toward, on-and-off, for 15 years. Finally, in this past year, he has "come out of the closet" and begun to share his amazing findings – in readings, private sessions, and workshops.
So if any of you are interested in having your chart done, contact John jbpehrson@aol.com for more information. It will be well worth your time and energy.

Insights & Inspirations |

“‘BREATHE, then LISTEN. This is where it all begins.’ –This is the first lesson the Ancestors taught me.” —Jeanne White Eagle Jeanne’s Insights:
|
John’s Insights: • About Thunder: In Rustler’s Valley, in between the two South African For-the-One Dances, I was relaxing late one afternoon. Rolling thunder began bathing the valley with the loud, booming voice of the Ancient Ones. The sound of thunder was connecting our hearts to the Divine, connecting the infinite and personal and bringing with it greater awareness and understanding. As a strong wind played with the leaves of the blue gum trees adding to the symphony of sound, I thought to myself, the sounds of everything are important in opening the earth for things to grow. • Every infinitesimal part of us is connected with all people, events, places and things – everywhere and throughout all time. We are connected to even the smallest part of the inconceivable vastness of an infinite multi-verse, an infinity of universes that exist like clusters of beehives across a multi-dimensional space. We are connected back to the most distant past, and into the farthest, most unimaginable future. Everything we do creates a ripple across all time and space. In effect, we create a new reality in every moment with each breath, thought, and action. • As we navigate through the adventures of life, we often wonder whether we are on course, or off course. But the truly important points are the course corrections. Course corrections are the turning points that lead us back to the desired path following a foray into some unknown place. Stepping off the path into the squishy marshland of uncertainty to sometimes wallow in fear and forgetting are times when learning is presented, and often too-slowly embodied. Straying from our intended course often holds the purposive power of memorable teaching moments. Still, it is the course corrections that hold the magic power of transformation. |

Niyan’s Vision: • While in Brazil last year, Niyan Stirling, the South African coordinator for our dances, had a powerful vision. He was taken out of his body and brought high up over the Earth. He was looking down at the planet from a great distance, so great that the Earth appeared as a rotating ball. He saw a band of angry, red, disruptive energy in the Northern Hemisphere connecting the USA and the Middle East. He was told that there was a purpose to it, a purpose of waking people up. In the Southern Hemisphere, there was an equally powerful band of loving, peaceful green energy. As he looked at this green band of energy, he was told, “There is always balance.”
